Day 399 of lockdown

Health workers will continue receiving J&J vaccination after consultation with various scientists.
More than 53 000 have so far died of the virus.  In India it is totally out of hand and various countries are sending help.

Day 389 of lockdown

My first visit to Woollies in 13 months

Monday, April 19
J&J vaccinations on hold due to bloodclots detected in vaxed Americans.
Just over 200 000 health workers in SA had a shot so far.
But gov is positive research will put it's stamp on it again. Very confusing as over-60's are now invited to register to be vaccinated...  We'll see... So many reports about this and that V being ordered from abroad.
Meanwhile my grandkids are developing at a pace so I am putting negativity far out of reach...
Video call with Kayalami and Wellington on Saturday.
Ariyah getting ready for her ID photo in Wellington!

Day 327 of a Lockdown

Lots happening on all fronts...
Best news of the day is that my friend Hendrik Kritzinger has been discharged from St George's for rehabilitation at Aurora. What a journey with Covid...
In the meantime the AstraZenica vaccine that was "welcomed" in SA with great fanfare was found to have a too short fridge life, etc.
Well, well, well... R70 million gone.  But tomorrow apparently Johnso😊n & Johnson shots will be administered at 17 places in SA (to both private and public health workers).    Let's see....
Today was a nostalgic day as I packed boxes of porcelain etc for donation to charity.   It included some of the wines I kept for many years.
Charity can now benefit by selling it as ornamentation for private bars...
The KWV was a wedding gift from my favourite English Litt lecturer Tom Smailes. (Feb 1978!  43 years ago)  The other red wine a promo when I was Women's Ed of Die Oosterlig...
We had a few drops of welcome rain so there are two happy succulents showing their colour...

Second Easter in Lockdown

Ariyah attended church in Wellington for the first time in her short life today.
She will be 9 weeks tomorrow...
Fortunately there are no shortage of Church services on radio and Internet.   And friends and family sending messages...
Many congregations opted for outdoor worship. I found this on Instagram..
The Jewish community across the world also had to make plans to celebrate Seder...
