On a positive family note, Yael has started to crawl a few days before her 1st birthday!
In the park at the end of a hot day in Johannesburg.

And Emile and family enjoyed a weekend in Magaliesburg.

It is day 190 of Lockdown

Friday, 2 October
The first radio news bulletin of the day brought news of Donald Trump and his wife testing Covid positive.

I also heard that several South Africans of high social, political and business standing are being brought to justice for fraudulent activities.  About time!
Many people are relaxing their personal protocol re Covid, but it is still very present. It has hit my hinterland, specially Burgersdorp and Middelburg.
Although our borders opened for international flights yesterday, many countries are still on our unwelcome list (UK and USA for example).
This is what covidvisualiser reflects about our stats...
More than 1 million people have died worldwide of the virus so far.
On the eco conscious front, I have picked up the following good bits...
I signed the sales document for Ouma's house yesterday.  Lots of memories came to mind of the more than 35 years of ownership. My mother lived there for the last 19 years of her life and I can still see her at her favourite place in front of the stove in the kitchen.
Here is a pic of Emile and Eon "helping" us  get the house ready in Feb of 1985. Kia was snug under my heart as I wallpapered away...
Katite is very happy to be with us an has moved into a proper masterly role. Here he is sitting on his think patch.
