Many years ago ...

What a find!
I knew I had photographs of our home of long ago when the Zinober-family lived here and was surprised to find them in my Yahoo pic box when searching for something entirely different. The first surprise was a photo taken from our house down the street and shows the semi's of our three closest neighbours. I presume it was taken in the early 30's.  The extention to our house on the right side was built by the Zinober parents for their son Louis who qualified as a doctor in England and started his first medical practice in this house.

The above pic (circa 1920) is a real surprise!  My son Emile slept in the room built on for Louis Zinober's practice and during his senior years at Grey surprisingly won the Louis Zinober Academic Achiement prize (approx 80 years after this photo was taken).

                                 Louis Zinober's parents.
They were the second owners of the Verandah.

These pictures were given to me by Vivian Zinober, a paedeatrician in Bristol. Louis was her father.
