What next...?

Thursday, February 25
Waking up yesterday morning with the news of PE name change officially announced in the Government, was a slammer...
It was both my 43rd wedding anniversary and Eon's 38 birthday.
Getting ready to go out with Kia to treat Keith an Gill with ice creams, I had a terrible experience. The world became twilight in my room, my legs jelly and an earthquake rushed through my skull.
I grabbed the door and somehow moved to the ned.  My jaw was sore and my heart went wild.
Remembering the cardiologist's advice more than 3 years ago, I turned on my back snd a as ited for Kia to come home.
She checked my heartrate. It was 140.  Kia called Jana and I contacted Dr Blaauw who suggested an ECG.   But no ways I would get into the car to drive 10 km to her rooms.
At 10pm my heartrate was  approx 80 and I have been doing very little since

Day 328 of Lockdown

The "right" vaccination has arrived (J&J) after the bungle with AstraZenika from India. A point in Covid history of which we would rather like to forget. R70 million down the drain!
In between feeding the hungry, gardening and following world news, I continued sorting out belongings for donation to the Charity Shop and needy individuals.
Came upon some "ancient" bottles of wine that will be sold to people decorating bars with same.    I took two pics to remember the bottle of KWV that a favourite lecturer gifted on my wedding day 43 years ago.  The other red wine is from my year as women's ed of Die Oosterlig...

Another week ends...

Thr birth of my granddaughter coincided with President Ramaphosa "opening" beaches, bars and churches!
Apparently the virus is "weakening" its spread, but yesterday's figures present a sad picture...
However there is a positive feeling going, around. On Wednesday we went doen to Summerstrand and found people in festive spirit close to each other lifting glassrs etc.
On Thursday Kia took me on a drive to Maitlands... Lovely surprise. Excellent weather!
In Johannesburg Yael was practising her climbing skills ...
Whatever her brother does, she follows...
And today Ariyah went home.   This pic was taken when they arrived and she  was laid down in her basinette for the first time!
On the other side of the world insects are experimentally farmed to supply humans with protein...
