104 and counting ...

No end in sight for Covid!
Reports come in thick and fast of top officials dying or infected.  The Western Cape Premier has tested positive and is in self isolation.

Yesterday I had to go to St George's Hospital for a mammogram appointment.  I had to join a queue near the trauma entrance and wait to have temp checked, filled out a form and get a fresh mask.
Once at Bay Radiology, my temp was checked again and a more extensive questionnaire completed.   It was a surreal experience to see staring  eyes only... and sanitising liquid all over the place. Staff had every body  part covered, gloved, masked and hatted.  Only the receptionist had bare legs sticking from under a short black dress!
That was my 2nd solo "outing" since lockdown started and I was content to be back home and united with our ginger cat.
Kia is managing Sonet's menagerie in Lorraine and Katite is now the King of the Dust Palace. He has enough confidence to enter Eon's room via the stepladder Kia built for him.
On the first morning without Kia, I hastened to the front door at 7:15 to let him in, but he was waiting in the passage already! Even managed to get up onto my bed and made himself at home. Fortunately he did not trigger the alarm.
This morning he was in the house again... This time content on Kia's bed.
My Brazilian friend Deborah wrote about the undisciplined behaviour of her president in this pandemic.  This morning on the news it was reported that he had
 tested positive.

Here are the SA stats for the day:
I find interesting news from Time, National Geographic and such publications on Instagram.
     This touched me today :
