Today is Saturday, May 9. We are well into fall and a last hot spell for a long time, I think.
This morning's walk was a good start to the day. Kia's feline friend Red (aka Suckles) from somewhere in Dollery Street was at the garden gate to meet us.
There were quite a couple of masked people out enjoying the freedom. One had lost a shoe last night during curfew...
We met Alan from the SRA. First at Rory's house where his temperature was taken at the start of his bakkie shift and later in Raleigh where I asked him to remove the used syringes I spotted on the pavement at Duncan's studio.
Kia enjoyed the roller skating although there were not many smooth surfaces to ride on.
I came home with a good stack of fire kindling...

After a very tasty smoothie and feeding Skillie the fruit peels, I started my gardening check for thirsty plants.
How privileged I am to have this playground!
