Flags of importance

Eon, my surfer son, needs to know which way the wind blows,,, and for years now he depended on a flag on the Verandah's back roof to give him the good or bad news.
It all started when he affixed an empty orange pocket. But that was years ago. After the World Cup Soccer, a S A  flag went up. When it disintegrated earlier this year, I gave him my French flag. Now it is proudly gracing our back garden. And also reminds me of my  huguenot   roots.
Ten days ago, I added some tongue-in-the-cheek flags to the Verandah's facade... This is to remind us how fortunate we are to be able to travel to Europe. This morning Kia posed under the flags showing her pasport (with Hungarian visa).
