My Campbell Street friend, Gideon van der Merwe of Campbel & Company, sent an urgent message crying for help.
Girlie was delivered to his door naked. She needed to be covered up as her "nipples were tanning too much." I packed a bag without knowing much about this woman's anatomy. Alas, Girlie had no arms, so I had to rush back to fetch a little fur cape. Ruth, who is in charge of Gideon's shop helped to carry her inside the shop and we made her comfortable on an attractive couch and added the cocktail hat and pink shoes etc.

However, when I went back to visit her this afternoon, the couch was sold and Girlie now sits on the floor. I trust this will only be temporary.
