Display dress says goodbye ...

One of my favourite dresses (but way too small) has left the Verandah to become an outfit for a special wedding in March.   

It is a perfect fit. I was sorry to see it go but I know

 My friend and ex-student Bongiwe (who is featured on this blog a couple of times) is marrying Bongani and one one of her trips to our house to collect props etc for the wedding reception, Bongi brought her sister along.

Zanele fell in love with this dress from the moment she saw it!

This year the crowd could also buy coffee

The annual EC Philharmonic Orchestra's performance in the Park is one of the highlights on my social calendar. This time Emile was on a visit from Stellenbosch and he and Lize joined me on Saturday.
   Late afternoon in Victoria Park under the giant Norfolk pines is special. This time it was almost perfect weather with just a slight breeze and an exceptionally large crowed turned up.
